Even though it’s still much green outside, the signs of autumn are here. The beautiful colours and the chill air has arrived. We all know were we are heading, but before that, let’s enjoy this season.
The Botanical Garden in Oslo was founded in 1814, and belongs to The University of Oslo. Through research, education and plant conservation, the garden seeks to increase public awareness of the importance of plant diversity. The plant collections contain approx. 7500 species.
Normally you would visit a botanical garden in the summer, like I did last year. But, it’s quite extraordinary in autumn, it’s like they say «autumn is a second spring when every leaf’s a flower«.
The garden holds a large and varied collection of trees and shrubs planted in a systematic fashion after plant family. And now all the trees are in technicolor, well almost.
Anyways, I had a wonderful time surrounded by nature and art.
