DIY Lotion Bar -Super easy

DIY lotion bar are so simple to make (as you might’ve catched on, I love things that are easy to make). I just love when things can be made with easy access ingredients and that will not take all day. Simply just because I don’t always got time to spend my whole day making skincare products. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes it’s okay, but not always.

I feel I’ve defended myself and my laziness enough now. Back to lotion bars, ever used one? It’s really a brilliant idea that I never knew of untill I saw them at Lush. I love Lush with all it’s handmade cosmetics, but come on. Sometimes it’s much cheaper just making the products yourself.

Thank goodness, this was a no brainer to do. All you do is melt everything in a double boiler (not to warm) and let it melt. After the three basic ingredients are done, then add herbs, vitamin E or something else you might like. This is a basic recipe, which means you can experiment and add stuff, if you like.

What you need is:

1 cup Coconut Oil

1 cup Shea butter (mango butter or cocoa butter)

1 cup beeswax (a vegan option is candelilla wax)

1 teaspoon Vitamin E oil (optional)

Then pour the melted ingredients in paper cups for cupcakes. Let it harden, and then use it on your skin!
