The Co-operative Village Nyvang (in danish: Andelslandsbyen Nyvang) in Denmark is in many ways like the open-air museums in The Old Town in Århus, Frilandmuseet and The Norwegian Museum of Cultural History in Oslo.
24 houses and buildings stands in this village showing us how the life was lived in Denmark about a 100 years ago. In The Co-operative village Nyvang there’s activities and buzzing life almost all year around. So it’s a easy way of time traveling back to «the good old days«.

There are shops and small museums you can visit, like the old post office, or the telephone museum. And there are shops like the bakery, cheese store, the restaurant «Madam Blå«and much more.

The Red Barn holds the largest collection of steam rollers and carriages in Northen Europe. At this time of year they hold a Christmas market in the village. Here there are a gathering of craftsmen and talented people, that come to sell (mostly) homemade products. There were jewellery, knitted clothings, food, snaps, chocolates (I loved this part) and Christmas decorations.
